The first match of the three match series between Pakistan and West Indies will start from October 13 and senior batsman Younis Khan will not play in this match.
It was confirmed by a PCB official that the complete recovery from dengue fever for the 38 year old batsman will take one more week due to which he could not play the 1st test match at Dubai Cricket Stadium. It will be the first time that both teams will play a day and night test match.
Before that, Pakistan’s highest run scorer in test Younis Khan was admitted to hospital due to low platelets and fever. He also missed the Test mace ceremony that was held on 21st September 2016 in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
It is expected that middle order batsman Babar Azam will replace him while he has scored three consecutive hundreds against West Indies in ODIs.
