New Zealand team has scored 400+ runs against Pakistan after 30 years. Last time they reached that target in 1984 in Karachi test. During that time, Kiwis scored these runs 3 times in India while 4 times each in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
In the first innings of the ongoing Dubai test, New Zealand faced 156 overs which is the 4th time this year that they batted for more than 150 overs in a test inning. Before that, they played over 150 overs 5 times in 1972. After 30 years, now New Zealand has made 5 fifty runs partnerships in an away test against Pakistan.
Last time it happened in Karachi in 1984. After 24 years, New Zealand scored a big partnership for 7th inning against Pakistan in an away test. This time Bradley John Watling and Mark Craig scored 68 runs for the 7th wicket.
