The 9th edition of Indian Premiere League is named as IPL 2016 of Vivo IPL 9. The IPL 2016 Schedule is from 9th April 2016 while the final match of the tournament will be played on 29th May 2016. Total 8 teams will participate in IPL 2016. These include 6 teams of IPL 2015 while there are two new teams in this tournament also. Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiants are playing in this tournament due to ban on the teams of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. During group stage, there will be total 56 matches as all the teams will play two matches against every other team and every team will play 14 matches each. Famous players from India, West Indies, Australia, South Africa and other top teams are participating in IPL 9. After group stage, top four teams will qualify to play the next stage that includes two quarter finals and one eliminator match. Final match of IPL 2016 will be played on 29th May 2016.
