Islamabad, The National squad of the RIO Olympics got the special grant of Rs.60 lac to participate in the games. According to the details, the RIO Olympics 2016 are scheduled in Rao De Genero, capital of Brazil and the national squad will get the special grant of Rs.60 lac rupees. The orders are issued to the authorities concerned. This is the most brief squad, in which 17 members will participate in this Olympic games. There will be 7 players and 10 officials will also go to Brazil to attend the Olympic Games. In the squad, the officials will be included with Mian Riaz Hussain Peerzada, Federal Minister for inter provincial liaison, Director General Dr. Akhtar Nawaz of Pakistan Sports Board, Dr Waqar Ahmed, Director Medical of Pakistan Sports Board, Lieutenant General Arif Hassan, President of Pakistan Olympic Association, Khalid Mehmood, General Secretary of POA, Shahid, Member of International Olympic Committee in Pakistan will accompany the players. Shoukat Javed of Pakistan Baseball Federal will be Chief de Mission.
In the athletic unit, Mehboob Ali and Najma Perveen will be included and in the shooting, Ghulam Mustafa, Minahil Sohail, and in the swimming contest, Liana Katherine, Haris Banday and in Judo Shah Hussain Shah will be included. Pask squad will fly from Lahore to Brazil on 01st August. The federal minister and the DG Sports will fly from Islamabad on 02 August and Pak Sports Board will provide one lac and 80 thousands to the players for air ticket and daily allowance of Rs.30 thousands to the players. The accreditation cards of the event have been received to the Pak Olympic Association for the international event. Pak Olympic Association has completed its home work on the case and they sent the case to the Ministry of Internal Provincial Liaison.
The ambassador of Brazil to Pakistan talked with media and said the fool proof security will be provided to the players and officials during the games. He also showed good wishes to the players, who are going there to take part in the Olympic Games. He told that the visas are issued to the players and officials, which are finalized by the OIC and Olympic Organization Committee. Some changes in the visa policies have been made to make the RIO Olympic successful so that the fans from all over the world can get information about the culture of Brazil.
