England Beat Pakistan by 141 Runs in Birmingham Test

Birmingham, In the Birmingham test, England beat Pakistan by 141 runs and it got the lead of 2-1 in the 4 test matches series. The third test match of the current test series was played at Edgbeston cricket ground in Birmingham and England gave the target of 343 runs on the fifth and final day of the third test match. Pakistan cricket team scored only 201 runs while chasing the total of 343 runs and it was defeated by 141 runs.

The opening batsman, Muhammad Hafeez was bowled out on only 2 and he failed to score any big score once again. Azhar Ali scored century in the first inning and he scored 38 runs only in the second inning.  When the total of team reached to 92 runs, Younis Khan was bowled out for 4 runs. On the fourth wicket partnership, Misbah and Sami Aslam scored 32 runs and the captain was out after making 10 runs only. Asad Shafiq and Sarfaraz Ahmed did not score any runs and Sami Aslam scored 70 runs, which is the highest individual score of the Pakistan cricket team in the second inning. Yasir Shah scored 7 and Muhammad Amer 16 runs but they could not resist against the English bowling.

Sohail Khan and Rahat Ali has shown some courage against the English bowlers and they scored 50 runs on the last wicket partnership. Sohail scored 36 runs and Rahat Ali 15 runs and Sohail Khan was the last batman, who was dismissed on 201 runs. Chris Woakes, Steven Finn, Moeen Ali, James Andersen and Stuart Broad took two wickets each. Now England won 2 test matches in this series and it leads the series by 2-1. The last and final test match will be started at Oval from 11 August.
