International Cricket Council has revived the super over for confirmation of winner of world cup 2015 in case of a tied world cup final. The previous slow over rate will not affect any captain while severe action will be taken against rude players.

According to details, ICC announced previous year that both the finalist teams will share the trophy in case the final match ties but now the super over has been restored which was also included in the playing conditions of 2011 world cup. The council notified that super over will decide about the champion of world cup if the final match ended without any result. It proved very successful in ending tie in the past and it is the best method. They want to have a single champion in the world cup and there is nothing better than super over for this.

In the board’s meeting, held in Dubai, the ICC also decided that the previous slow over rate will not affect any captain. If a captain is fined before world cup in a mutual series then he will not be put off for the next match even if he does the same mistake in the world cup. But the previous mistake will be postponed and it will count in the other mutual series after the world cup.

ICC has also decided to take severe action against offensive players according to the action by the umpires. Different on-field conflicts force the council to take this extreme step.
