Since the mid of 19th century cricket has been played in Afghanistan. But the national team is recently become successful. In 1995 the Afghanistan Cricket Federation was formed and in 2001the team become an affiliated member of the International Cricket council (ICC) and a member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003. Afghanistan beat Keya to finished second in the WCL championship on October 3 2013, Afghanistan National team qualified for the 2015 Cricket world Cup. Now the Afghanistan National Team is preparing to participate in the Cricket World Cup 2015.
