In 1989 UAE nation cricket team became an affiliated member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and an associated member the following year. The Headquarters have been in Dubai in the UAE since 2005. In the 1996 Cricket World Cup they participated. They are not yet ranked among ODI teams. Lately the team has qualified for ICC World Twenty 20 International to be hosted in Bangladesh in 2014. UAE nation Cricket Team has qualified for 2014 premier league which was held I Malaysia from 4 – 10 May 2014. Through 2014 World Cup Qualifier the team qualified for 2015 Cricket World Cup and gained ODI Status. Now the UAE team is preparing to participate in the Cricket World Cup 2015.
