Test captain Misbah ul Haq is not a part of PCB’s future plan as a message has been sent to him that he has to take retirement from international cricket. The senior batsman is allowed to take the decision at the time of his own choice.
The sources say that Misbah’s experience will be used in domestic cricket if he takes such decision. There is a strong chance to give the captaincy to vice captain Azhar Ali. On the other hand, Younis Khan can be given a match or a tour so that he can become the first ever Pakistani batsman to complete 10,000 runs in test cricket. The batsman has so far made 9977 runs and he is just 33 runs behind to reach this milestone.
It should be cleared that Misbah previously hinted to announce his decision of retirement or not after checking his form and fitness in PSL.
