Multan sultan the new team in the PSL has started their race by announcing their first 9 pick on Tuesday.
Multan signed 2 overseas players which includes Srilankan legend Kumar Sangakkara and West Indies Keiron Pollard. Sangakkara is also a mentor for Multan sultan team.
Sharing his view about Kumar Sangakkara the Multan sultan director Wasim Akram said:
Kumar sangakkara is a class and he has shown that he is the best T20 player, his beautiful strokes and amazing glove work behind the stumps; he has shown his T20 format all around the world.
The Pakistani skipper Shoaib Malik and all rounder Sohail Tanveer will also be the part of the team.
According to PCB press release on Tuesday.
The franchise president Asher Schon said that having Shoaib Malik on our side give us a lot of support because he has so much T20 experience with him as he had played top T20 leagues all around the world, so he will have a special role to play.

Shoaib Malik was associated with Karachi kings last year, so Malik remained an integral part of the team until he got separated from the KK team. Shoaib Malik has scored 7,124 runs in 279 T20 matches and he wants to continue this stellar form from Multan sultan side.

The first nine sultans list includes Irfan Khan, Junaid Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Irfan and Sohaib Maqsood.
Malik and pollard are included in the platinum category while the diamond category consists of Kumar Sangakkara and Sohail tanveer. Junaid and Irfan the experienced pacers are slot in under the gold category.
Whereas the silver category includes Kashif Bhatti, the 31 year old all rounder Maqsood, the middle order batsman and Irfan Khan.
