In the first inning of 1st match between Pakistan and New Zealand, Pakistani team was bowled out for just 133 while New Zealand has scored 104 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

In the match played at Hagley Oval ground of Christchurch, New Zealand’s batting is underway and it has scored 104 for 3 in reply to Pakistan’s 133 runs at the close of play. New Zealand lost its 1st wicket on 6 when M Amir took the wicket of Tom Latham while New Zealand captain Kane Williamson lost his wicket to Sohail Khan on 4. Ross Taylor could score 11 runs and he was bowled by Rahat Ali. At the end of 1st day’s play, Jeet Raval and Henry Nicholls were batting on 55 and 29 runs respectively.

Initially, host captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to field first. Sami Aslam and Azhar Ali started the innings and the first wicket fell on 31 when Azhar got out on 15. The wickets fell regularly later and the whole team perished on 133. Main scorers of the team remained Misbah ul Haq (31), Sami Aslam (19) and Asad Shafiq (16). Only 4 Pakistani batsmen could score in double figure.

Colin Grandhomme took 6 wickets for New Zealand while Tim Southee and Trent Boult took 2 wickets each. 1st day of Christchurch match could not be held due to rain.
