PCB wants neutral grounds for World T20 Pakistan’s matches

Lahore, Pakistan Cricket Board said that they sent a proposal to ICC to play the World cup T20 matches on the neutral venues next month as their government does not allow them to tour to India to play the ICC T20 world cup in the Indian cricket grounds.

India is hosting the ICC Twenty20 world cup, which will be started from 08 March and it will be continued till 03 April 2016. The participation of Pakistan cricket team in T20 world team will be subject to the clearance made by the government as there are some threats to the Pakistan cricket team.

The PCB chairman, Shehryar Khan said that they intimated ICC that the decision of tour to India will be made with the government and it will consider the specific threats, which Pakistan has to face. The PCB gave a proposal to ICC during the board meeting in Dubai last week. He said that one person from ICC said that if there were any doubts over the extremists in the Pakistani matches, then they are ready to change the venue of the matches and these match will be played at the neutral venues, if Pakistan government does not allow their team to tour to India and play their matches.
