Rohit Sharma sets new Record of 264 runs in ODI

Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has broken the world record of highest score in One Day International.

In the Eden Garden Stadium Kolkata, Rohit Sharma made a new record by scoring 264 runs in 173 balls with 33 fours and 9 sixes against Sri Lanka while before that the record was 219 runs by another Indian Virender Sehwag against West Indies. Rohit Sharma also broke the Sehwag’s record of most 25 fours while it is the 2nd double hundred by Rohit Sharma. India gave the target of 205 runs to Sri Lanka due to this mammoth innings by Sharma.

Pakistani batsman Saeed Anwar remained the highest scorer in ODI with 194 runs for a long time whose record was broken by Sachin Tendulkar with a double century and then Virendar Sehwag became a new record-holder with 219 runs.
