Sharjeel Khan has been banned for 5 years for indulging in spot fixing in Pakistan Super League PSL. The decision was announced by 3 member bench headed by Justice ® Asgahr Haider while the other members include Gen ® Tauqeer Zia and former captain Waseem Bari.

Total 5 allegations of anti-corruption code including meeting with suspicious people, not informing PCB, accepting offer of money for bad performance and others were proved on Sharjeel Khan. The cricketer will remain suspended for 5 years for which the punishment will be of 2 and a half years while he will remain under observation for the remaining period. After two and a half year, Sahrjeel will be allowed to play cricket with the condition of good behavior. The ban will start from 10th February 2017.

It should be cleared that M Irfan has been given punishment of 1 month for his involvement in spot fixing scandal while hearing of the cases of Khalid Latif, Shahzaib Hasan and Nasir Jamshed are in the tribunal and they are expected to be announced after Eid.
