Pakistan Television Corporation launched their sports channel for the broadcasting of sports activities and sports competitions of the world. PTV launched PTV Sports on December 17, 2011 on the instructions of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan inaugurated its broadcasting. Actually this channel was set up for the broadcasting of cricket matches and finished the monopoly of Geo Super which is first sports channel in Pakistan. Pakistan television Corporation made an agreement with the Zee TV for US 45 million dollars for telecasting sports activities in the country.

This channel broadcast Asia Cricket Cup and showed all matches live to the viewership of the country. It presented various programs on different sports and telecast many matches during different tournaments. The channel presented various programs focusing on many other sports events like Hockey, Tennis, Soccer and many more. This channel also produced live coverage and recorded programs of London Olympics for the millions of spectators in Pakistan.

Bangladesh Television (BTV) Live

Bangladesh Television was established in 1964 by the government of Bangladesh (then Government of Pakistan) as a news and current affairs television channel. After its separation from Government of Pakistan, it was renamed as Bangladesh Television. This television has set up channels from which one is broadcasting programs from Dhaka which telecast its various programs to all big cities of the country. It also set up its regional channels like in Chittagong for the transmission of local programs in the evening.

Bangladesh Television (BTV) Live

This channel also telecast various programs presented at CNN and BBC but it made progress and started its own international transmission through BTV World. Like various other state own television, this television also became the target of public hatred on his policies to please the government. Most of its programs were prepared for favoring the government. It broadcast its all programs in their national language which is Bengali. This television can be watched in various countries of the world through satellite like Middle East, Asia and partial area of Africa.

Astro TV Channel

Astro is also known as All-Asian Satellite Television and Radio Operators which is a state owned television network in Malaysia. This network is responsible for providing transmission through digital satellite television and radio to various parts of Malaysia and Brunei. This television station was launched by the Broadcasting Media on June 01, 1996. The headquarter of the channel has been established at All Asia Broadcast Centre, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and it has set up its studios in various other cities of the country.

This television network has also established various other high definition broadcasts to improve their broadcasting. Firstly launched Astro B.yond in December 2009 and then introduced PVR in June 2010 and later on introduced IPTV in April 2011.

This television continued its support to the customers and won gthe Putra Brand Awards. Astro enjoyed this award winning celebration with the customers by giving the customers opportunity to enjoy all channels for 10 days.

Rogers Sportsnet TV

Sportsnet is a Canadian Television sportsnet which has been launched on October, 1998 to support sports activities. The name of this network is similar to Fox Sports Net which provides facility in transmitting its sports related programs and different competitions. This TV network was established by Rogers Communications in Toronto which telecast its various programs in English language. It telecast its programs and works for all intents as a single national service under the license issued by Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission and broadcast sports activities in standard definition and high definition for conveying its programs to various parts of Canada.

Rogers Sportsnet TV

There are some parts where the transmissions are available by their local sportsnet channel but after connecting with digital cable the four channel of the network are available.

This network started transmitting the National Hockey League for its viewership. Since its launching, the network started broadcasting NHL games which shows its whole tournament in the regular season and showed all matches of various teams. The first competition which it showed is the matches being played between Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers.

Setanta Sports is a television network which has been launched in 2006 by Setanta Sports Channel Ireland Limited with the objective to broadcast sports activities airing in and outside the country. This network is available on cable in Ireland. The sister channel, Setanta Sports 1 is also functioning for the development and progress of sports.

Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE) Radio

Raidió Teilifís Éireann was formerly a radio station which aired news and other amusing programs in local and English language. The radio has been established in 1926 but when television was started functioning then after some time this channel also started its functioning on December 31, 1961. Initially this channel was funded by its license fee gathering from the public and through advertising. This channel was the combination of semi state company and public service broadcaster Ireland.

The management of RTE channel is appointed by the Ireland government. The executive board which is led by Director General looks after its all affairs.

This channel is normally performing two orchestras including the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra. Both groups show their skills while performing in The Helix and National Concert Hall.

Lemar TV was launched in Kabul in 2006 which broadcast its programs and shows in Pashto language. This channel was owned by MOBY Group which provides entertainments and news services to some parts of the country.

News Corporation initiated various other channels in the country including Tolo News, Tolo TV. This channel is telecasting some Hindi serials by dubbing into Pashto language.

Lemar TV

With the passage of time, like other games cricket also developed in the country. The national cricket team of Afghanistan participated in various national and international events. A large number of people like to look their team playing with other teams in international arena. This channel broadcast various matches being played in 2010 ICC World Twenty20 in their own languages like Pashto and Persian. Now this channel will also telecast all matches being played in Cricket World up, ICC Champions trophy and Indian Premier League.

Somali National Television is a national television of Somalia being headquartered in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. This television station is run by the Ministry of Information, Posts & Telecommunication of the Federal Government of Somalia. The main aim of this channel is to broadcast entertainment programs, news and other sports relating programs or activities.

This channel temporarily suspended its broadcasting on March 18th, 2011, then Ministry of Information began broadcasting experimentally and this television station was re-launched on April 4th, 2011. This channel broadcasts 24 hours a day which can be watched throughout the country.
