Pakistan has get the chance to get 3rd position in T20 ranking after winning series against West Indies. The series will start from Sunday and Pakistan can reach from 6th to 3rd position after clean sweeping the series 4-0 while currently Pakistan has 113 points. The host team is at 4th spot with 116 points. If Pakistan wins 3-1 in the series, it will achieve 4th position in T20 ranking.
In the current ICC T20 international ranking, New Zealand is at 1st spot with 127 points while India is at 2nd spot with 124 points. After T20 matches, both the teams will also play 3 ODI matches. In case of winning these matches, Pakistan can secure its position to directly qualify for ODI World Cup 2019.
After winning all matches against West Indies, Pakistan’s total points will be 118 and they will reach at 3rd spot while they will take 4th position from West Indies after defeating them 3-1 and West Indies will be pushed down to 6th position.
In the series remain level with 2-2, both the teams will retain their positions but Pakistan will achieve 1 point to level England which is at 5th position now. On the other hand, West Indies will achieve 3rd position in place of South Africa after winning the series 4-0 or 3-1 as their points will become 123 or 119 respectively which are higher than South Africa’s 117 points.
In batsmen ranking, M Samuels is on top from both sides and 19th position while Ahmed Shahzad and Shoaib Malik are at 34th and 37th positions. In T20 bowlers’ ranking, Samuel Badree is at 3rd position while he is followed by Pakistan’s Imad Wasim at 4th spot and West Indian Sunil Narine at 7th position.
