Young Colombian footballer James Rodriguez became the most searched athlete on Google in 2014. James Rodriguez achieved fame after performing superbly in the world cup after which the Spanish club ‘Real Madrid’ made an agreement with him. In 2014, Rodriguez is at the top of list of the players who were searched in Google in 2014. He was also among superstars of the world cup along with Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Suarez and Mexican goalkeeper Ochoa. He also won ‘golden boot’ in the world cup after scoring highest number of goals. After him, the 2^nd most searched player on Google is former German driver Michael Schumacher while British footballer Gareth Bale remained at 3^rd spot.
