Lahore, The Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Shehryar Khan left the office of the chairman August 2014 of the PCB. He is the ex diplomat of Pakistan and he took the office of chairman PCB on 18 as the chairman of PCB. The duration of his post was going to finish on 17 August 2017 but Najam Sethi is going to become the new chairman of PCB. Chairman PCB is in English but the board wants to get selected Najam Sethi as new chairman of the cricket board and the board finalized the plan to see off him on 8 August. Due to holiday on Saturday and Sunday and there will be absence on the Monday, today is the final day of current chairman, Sheheryar Khan in his office located at Head Quarter in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
After the Panama case, due to current political situation within the country, Najam Sethi wants complete his tenure of three years. The appointment of the election commissioner has been done for the elections to get the election of PCB as soon as possible. So the board did not give the chairman to of PCB and the plan is ready to complete all stages for the election.
During the tenure of Shehryar Khan, Pakistani team become number one in world ranking for the first time and it also won the champions trophy. But he could not manage to conduct the mutual series with India and restore the international cricket within the country.
