England and India are playing the T20 series and the second T20i match was played in Indian city, Nagpur in which the umpiring standard was very poor. The Indian umpire, Shams Uddin provided help to the Indian team on two occasions. He declared Virat Kohli not out on the bowling of Chris Jordan, when he was bowled out as LBW. At that time, the score of the Indian player was only 7 runs and he made more 14 runs after this bad decision. This Indian umpire, Shams Uddin declared Joy Root out in the last over of the match and turned the match in favor of India. English team needed 8 runs on just 6 balls and he declared him out on the ball of Jaspreet Bumrah. The ball hit on the inner edge of the bat and after that it hit on the pad. This ball was in that direction that if it did not hit with bat, it would go into the stumps and the batsman would not be declared out.
When the set batsman was declared out, then English team lost this match by 6 runs. The English captain, Evan Morgan lost his temper and he declared to present this situation before the match referee, Andy Picroft and he also demanded to impose the DRS system in this short format cricket. He also said that if this technology is used on other formats then why does this technology not uses in this format of cricket.
