Former Sri Lankan spinner Muralitharan said that Shahid Afridi can play very important role for Pakistan in the world cup 2015.
He said that the all rounder is very aware about the conditions of Australia and New Zealand. He has good variety as a spinner while his quicker delivery is very dangerous for any opponent batsman. It is very difficult for batsman to even take off his pads from in front of the wickets. Afridi and Yasir also need important help from their fast bowlers.
Murali also said that Afridi was also able to take Pakistan to semi final in the previous world cup. He was also part of Pakistani team that played the final of 1999 world cup. He added that spinner Yasir Shah can perform for Pakistan the same way that Mushtaq Ahmed performed in 1992 world cup for Pakistan. The quality leg spinner has the quality to succeed as he can spin the bowl and the bouncy pitches of Australia are also helpful for him.
