Hockey players of Pakistan and India will face each other in England next month as 3 match hockey series between the arch rivals will be played in Silva. PHF secretary Shahbaz senior says that they have no objection on these matches. Matches between two teams are a good sign and hockey of both the countries will get benefit from these matches.

According to details, hockey teams of Pakistan and India could not play mutual matches since last 9 years due to cold relations between the governments of both countries. In past, PHF organized several programs on the basis of home and away series but Hockey India refused to tour Pakistan over excuse of governmental reasons. Now Silva Hockey Club in England decided to organize 3 match series between former hockey players of Pakistan and India. Organizer of the series says that Pakistan and India are two big names of world hockey. 3 match hockey series between former players of both the teams will be interesting.

All the matches of this series will be played in Silva on 13th, 14th and 15th May 2016. Players of Pakistan team include M Ateeq, M Rizwan, M Khalid, Adnan Zakir, Akhter Ali, M Imran, M Shareef, M Hussain, M Saqlain, Rehan Butt, Salman Akber, M Arshad, Babar Abdullah, Ali Ifraz and Tariq Aziz while Tahir Zaman will be the coach of team. The players included in the Indian team are Deepak Thakur, Prabjut Singh, S Singh, Yuvraj Walmeki, Gabraj Singh, Kamaldeep Singh, Harpal Singh, Vikran Kanth, Rajpal Singh, N Apana, Indarjeet Singh, G Singh, Teron Perera, Kandanda Pana and Bopia Kandanda. Sandeep Sagwan is the coach of the team.
