Asian champions Trophy hockey tournament is being played in Malaysia and Pakistani hockey team will fight against Malaysia in the first semi final of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy. The national team of Pakistani is defending its title. In the second semi final, India will meet with Korea.
The event is being played in Malaysia and now it is going to the final stage the top four teams like defending champion, Pakistan, Malaysia, India and Korea has shown the tremendous game and they reached in the semi final matches. The semi final matches will be played today. Pakistani team is going to complete the hat trick of winning the title and it is two matches away from the winning of the title. In the semi final, it has to face the tough competitor, Malaysia. The hockey team of Malaysia defeated Pakistan in the pool match.
It is expected that Pakistan will face its traditional competitor, India in the final match. If both the teams win their semi final matches, then they will march to the final match of the event on 30 October. Before this, India won the pool match against Pakistan. The captain of Pakistan hockey team, Fareed Ahmed said that they will take Malaysia as easy target in the semi final and they will show their good performance in the match against Malaysia. He hoped that they will not come under pressure as the players of the national team are now in form after losing after two matches and now they are in position to win the final match.
He said that it is his wish to compete with the traditional competitor, India in the final of the event and they will defeat India and defend their title. He also said that they have learnt a lot from this event and it helps their players to improve their performance.
