PCB Announces Pak Test Squad for WI Series

Pakistan Cricket Board has declared the complete squad of the test team to play the three test matches against West Indies on their soil. There are sixteen players included in Pakistani team and seven players of the Australian tour are dropped from the national team.

Sami Aslam and Sharjeel Khan are dropped from the national team and the players like Rahat Ali, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Nawaz, Imran Khan Senior, and Sohail Khan are also dropped from the national team.

Ahmed Shahzad and Shan Masood are taken back in the team after long time while Usman Salah ud Din is also selected in the test squad of Pakistan. Shadab Khan is included in the national team for the first time because of his wonderful performance in latest edition of PSL and T20i series against West Indies. Hassan Ali is also included in the national team, who gave consistent performance and Muhammad Abbas is included in the national team for the first time. He performed well and remained the top wicket takers in consistent two seasons of the Quaid e Azam Trophy.

According to the selection committee of PCB, Misbah ul Haq remained as captain and Sarfaraz Ahmed will be the vice captain. The other players are Azhar Ali, Ahmed Shahzad, Shan Masood, Usman Salah ud Din, Younis Khan, babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Aamer, Muhammad Asghar, Shadab Khan, Yasir Shah, Muhammad Abbas and Hassan Ali.
