Cardiff, National captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed made the fifty against Sri Lanka and he broke the 25 years old record of Imran Khan.
The Champions Trophy is being played in England and Pakistani cricket team defeated Sri Lanka in the group stage match. Captain of Pakistani cricket team, Sarfaraz Ahmed played well and with great responsibility and Pak cricket team won the match against Sri Lanka by three wickets and Pakistani cricket team qualified for the semi final of the event. Sarfaraz Ahmed played the responsible innings of 61 runs not out and he played the main role in the victory of the national team.
In the ICC events matches, Pakistan got success in many matches but there was no Pakistani captain, who made fifty while chasing the target setting by the opponent teams. Imran Khan made 44 runs in the semi final of the world cup 1992 against New Zealand, when he was chasing the target. Now Sarfaraz broke this record by making this biggest score from any Pakistani captain. He made 75 runs in the partnership with Muhammad Amir and won the match against Sri Lanka.
