Legend Boxer M Ali dies at the age of 74

Famous American boxer M Ali dies after a short illness. According to American media, 74 year old M Ali was under treatment in a hospital of American city Phoenix for several days due to respiratory problems.

M Ali was born in a Christian family in Kentucky’s city Louisville while his initial name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. He achieved fame after winning gold medal in 1960 Rome Olympics but he could not get a job in his own city as he was African American after which he threw the medal in river. Despite this treatment, his successes in boxing ring remained continuous.

During Vietnam War, M Ali refused to join army after which he was deprived of his medal and was given the punishment for 5 years of jail. But later he was exempted from the punishment after public protest.

M Ali defeated George Foreman in 1974 to once again gain his popularity. He was 32 years of age at that time and became the second person to win this medal twice. He became Muslim in 1975 and changed his name to M Ali Clay. Ali became shocked in 1978 after defeated against 12 years younger Leon Spinks but he re-achieved her status 8 months later after defeating Spinks. It was first time in the history that a person won that title for the 3rd time. His age was 36 at that time.

Concerns about his health created in 1980 and doctors found him the victim of Parkinson syndrome. At the time of leaving boxing, M Ali was the most famous person on earth. Muslims and black people all around the world respect him even today. During his 20 year long career, M Ali won 56 matches out of which 37 were knock-out. But the world will remind him as a great person forever.
